Testing. . . Testing. . . 1.2.
Grace and Peace.
Welcome to the AdultEd blog. I was trying to think of something profound to say to start the blog off, but I have come to realize my potential for profound thought is shrinking and the effort makes my head hurt. So, let's start it like this.
I wanted to take the opportunity to bring more discussion about the topics of our Sunday morning classes. Give folks the opportunity to comment, post notes, share ideas, encourage, and provide feedback for what we see, feel, and hear in our classes. If we've been reading a great book, post it; if we liked the discussion, post it; if we didn't have an opportunity to discuss, post it; if I found the recipe to the best chocolate pie in the universe, definitely post it; if there is something cool going on in small group, post it; if we can do it better, post it (somewhere else!).
God has been working in the Adult Education at Oakcrest, it is evident in all that has been done. I have to admit I am excited to see what else God will do.

This will be an excellent forum for folks to join in the discussion. It'll give folks who normally don't speak up to ask questions or make comments. I'll be looking in from time to time to see what's happening. Good job. Love the pic. Looking out over Long Island sound?
ReplyDeleteHmm...how about the same tide that's rolling for Sunday morning adult ed start rolling on Wed. nights too. Right now I think Ben G is working on that oart of adult ed. Is that a long term solution or is that something that the adult ed ministry team is desiring to also include within their responsibility? Just wondering...
ReplyDeleteAlso, one thing that might be done at the end of every series is to have each class participant provide feedback to the teachers and/or the Committee. Just a thought...
I like John's idea about having class participants provide feedback. The question is how to do it. Questionnaire? Verbally in class? I guess whatever way we can get it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, surveys or questionnaires are certainly possibilities. If we used them often enough, a standard template could be easily modified as needed to customize for a particular class.
